In 1994 he the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The W3Consortium ensures that the Web is stable as it evolves. Tim Berners-Lee still works for the development of the Internet. Among a long list of awards, he the Scientific and Technical Research Principe de Asturias Award in Spain in 2002. Now more than 600 million people all over the world use the Internet and the World Wide Web.
